    Louise Verboeket is a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Public Law (Constitutional and Administrative Law) at the Amsterdam Law School. Her dissertation deals with public funding by way of prize-backed contests on a national and European level. Her research is supervised by prof. mr. Jacobine van den Brink (University of Amsterdam) and prof. mr. drs. Willemien den Ouden (Leiden University). She teaches multiple courses, including the master’s courses Government Funding and Constitutional and Administrative Law in Practice.

    Louise Verboeket studied law at Leiden University. In 2017 she graduated cum laude with an LL.M. in Constitutional and Administrative Law. Her thesis titled ‘The public prize. A study of the allocation of public funds by way of competitions’ was awarded the Faculty Jongbloed Thesis Prize and the Leiden University Thesis Prize. During her studies she followed the Honours College Law-programme and worked as a student-assistant for the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law at Leiden Law School. In 2015 she studied a semester at the University of Connecticut School of Law in Hartford (CT, USA).

    From 2017 to 2020 Louise Verboeket worked as a PhD candidate at the Department of Public Law of the Faculty of Law at Maastricht University. In 2021 she worked as a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law at Leiden Law School, where she taught, inter alia, the master’s course Europeanisation of Administrative Law. Verboeket regularly publishes case notes and articles, and provides various seminars for legal practitioners.
